What is a typical day like in this career?
February 26, 2021 at 2:16 pm #4123It varies day to day. Some days you are very busy moving from one call to another. Other days are slower, so you have time to work on training or relaxing. You have to be ready for anything, at any time. When people call 911, it does not matter if it is -30 below or raining cats and dogs, we roll out and help people. We start the day at our station, prepping the trucks and checking to make sure our equipment is ready for action. Once calls start coming in we are moving in many different directions until the day comes to an end. In between calls we are cleaning, stocking and writing reports. We end the day with finalizing our paperwork and any cleaning that needs to occur.

The remainder of the day is dependent on how many calls you go on. Some days are very busy, and some days are slower.
