What do you do each day?
March 10, 2021 at 12:40 pm #5296AnonymousInactive00000That is impossible to answer because the best part of being an RN are the endless possibilities of places to work and populations you can serve.

There are days I’m rounding in the hospital and clinics to see if we’re following the most current infection prevention practices and helping answer staff questions. But there are also days that I complete chart reviews and audits to improve current processes and practices to better serve the community. I do serve on many different committees including: surgical site infection review committees, hospital-acquired infection committees, continuous regulatory committee (to be in compliance with Joint Commission), emergency preparedness and human safety and security to name a few. We also partner with County public health about issues within our community. My job is also to meet with new hires for a pre-employment health screening, so we’re usually the first person that a new hire meets.
