    What does the future look like in nursing?

    The nursing field is continuing to grow. There is a large number of older nurses that are nearing retirement, so the need is going to increase.

    I see a greater emphasizes on infection prevention in the future. I think with COVID-19, people have come to reply on our department to provide recommendations and to help come up with new ways to do things. Our hospital currently has two Infection Preventionists and I don’t see that changing anytime soon though.
