What would you recommend I do at this point to get into this field?February 25, 2021 at 11:53 am #4040AnonymousInactive0000
The first thing you should do is to get experience working with children. Volunteer at your school to read to children, work in the after school programs or babysit neighborhood children. Next, I would check with colleges to see what high school courses they recommend. Courses like human development, first aid, child development or psychology are excellent choices. It is also important that you work on your basic reading and math skills because in Minnesota you will have to take the NES Essential Academic Skills test once you complete your college degree.
