    Are there a lot of jobs in civil engineering?

    There are many directions a person can go in the field of Civil Engineering. You can work for the State, County, City, or with a private firm. There are also many firms that deal only with certain aspects of Civil Engineering such as Structural Design firms, Water Resource Firms, Geotechnical (Soils) Firms, Transportation Firms, etc.

    I think there is a large demand for all levels of engineering, from technicians to project managers.
