There is a multitude of jobs in this career that go far beyond the title “farmer”. Modern agriculture is not the farm of the old days. Those who could be considered Farmers or who support Farmers would include jobs such as: crop advisor, chemical spray applicator, veterinary technician, agronomist, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment operator, precision Ag. technician, computer programmer, agriculture accountant, irrigation technician, nutritionist, farm equipment marketing and repair, seed geneticist, COOP manger and many more.

Part time employment in this career is available to anyone who has an interest and a desire to do so. Full time employment is limited if you do not have family assistance or adequate resources to get started.
