What do you have to know to be a farmer?
00000Agriculture is more than cows and crops. Being a successful farmer today requires knowledge of technology, educational preparation and business skills. Many farmers learn about the business and practice of agriculture through a training program at a college or on the job. There are many types of farming today; dairy, cattle, poultry, horse, crops, fruit and even fish farming. When you decide what kind of farmer you want to be, do a job shadow and talk to the farmer.
