What kind of skills do you need for this career?
00000You must be a self-starter with lots of determination and willing to work very hard and long hours. You must be able to manage start-up costs, including possibly going without any income for a period of time. Some entrepreneurs have little formal education. However there are educational and technical resources available. Suggestions include a post-secondary degree in business management to provide the foundation of knowledge and skills that are helpful in managing a business. Small Business Development Centers are located in the Brainerd Lakes area and across the region to assist in business start-ups and expansions.
