As a professional engineer, we are required to have Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). We keep track of these and report them to the State Board every two years. We are required to have 24 general PDH’s and 2 ethics based PDH’s. We also belong to a few engineering groups that put on educational conferences. These conferences will cover the new items within the field and also talk about things that happened on sites and didn’t go as planned and we can learn from them.
