What is your day like?
00000Starting, owning and running your own business of any kind is both exciting and very challenging. You must be hard working, able to take financial risks, be adaptable to change and innovative. You should become familiar with educational and technical resources that are available to entrepreneurs wanting to start up or expand a business.
00000I own a small laundry and car wash business. My day starts our by checking the equipment to make sure everything is working, next I make sure the areas are clean and have enough supplies for customers to use and equipment to operate. Then I answer any phone messages and collect the mail. This is the quiet part of my day, once the customers start coming in I am busy dealing with issues, getting them change and fixing anything they have broken. At the end of the day I empty/refill the coin machines and add up the deposits for the day. I review the supplies and process any supply orders I have to make. I have about a 10 to 12 hour day.
