Animal technicians are in short supply, going into Farming could be difficult if you plan to own your own farm without having a connection through a relative or associate, other Ag. related jobs are readily available throughout the U.S. and starting at an entry level position could easily lead to more responsibility and the possibility of the employer paying for further education.
